Dr Jeevan Bhuhi — Director & Implant Dentist
Dr Jeevan Bhuhi graduated in Dentistry from the University of Birmingham before spending two years training towards Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS Ed). He went on to complete a postgraduate certificate and diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry in London at the Tipton Academy. He then went to complete a post graduate certificate and Diploma in Implantology in Manchester and London during which he was awarded a Gold Award in Implantology, presented by international implant expert Professor Göran Urde of Stockholm. He then completed a Master’s Degree in Implant Dentistry in Rome, focusing his thesis on immediate implant placement.
In 2024, Dr Bhuhi was shortlisted for the Best Young Dentist UK award, in recognition of his clinical work in implant and restorative dentistry. He was also the youngest dentist in the UK to use the “magnetic mallet” an instrument designed to help place implants in sites where there may be very little bone for example under a sinus. These techniques allow Dr Jeevan Bhuhi to routinely treat complex cases with predictable success.
Why implant dentistry
“Early in my career I worked alongside mentors who were implant surgeons, and being around them is what made me want to do this work. I saw first-hand the impact they had on patients’ lives — helping someone eat properly again, or feel confident smiling for the first time in years. That rehabilitation, giving someone their life back, has always given me more satisfaction than any other area of dentistry. I’ve always been drawn to oral surgery, and I think what makes a good implant surgeon is the same thing that’s always come naturally to me: being genuinely obsessive about the details. In implant surgery, the details are what determine whether a result lasts a lifetime or needs revisiting — so that focus matters.” — Dr Jeevan Bhuhi
Why implant dentistry
Dr Jayesh Patel trained at the renowned Eastman Dental Institute and holds a Master’s Degree in Dental Implantology from the Charles Clifford Dental Institute. He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI), the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD), and the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He was the previous owner of Hallcross dental and has implant cases from over 25 years ago. This means that Hallcross dental practice has treated1000s of successful cases and over the decades has refined the workflow of placing implants to a precise science that results in predictable long lasting successful outcomes. It also highlights that during the decades we have also dealt with and managed successfully many complications and have gathered a wealth of internal knowledge about the aging of bone around implants.
A team, not just an individual
Behind our implant dentists sits a wider team of clinicians specialising in oral surgery, orthodontics, and facial aesthetics, supported by an extensive nursing and patient care team. This means your implant treatment is backed by more than one pair of hands and more than one perspective, with 24-hour aftercare support available should you need to discuss any concerns after surgery.
