All Missing Teeth
If you have multiple missing teeth, we can provide an extremely stable and functional solution, replacing a full arch of ten to twelve teeth by firmly securing them to just five or six implants. It is also possible to have implant supported dentures and both these techniques help patients discover a renewed confidence.
Often people think that you will need one implant per each tooth missing, that is often not the case.
A single implant root is strong enough to support several teeth if it’s placed well.
Benefits
- Help restore function to eat, chew and bite
- Retained bone structure prevents the face from acquiring a ‘sunken’ look
Treatment Steps
Step 1 – After your first consultation, we will assess your teeth, gums and the condition of your jaw bone, as well as taking note of your general health
Step 2 – If you don’t have sufficient bone density, we may carry out additional grafting procedures to ensure any implants can be anchored firmly in place.
Step 3 – The titanium fixtures are then placed in your bone using a minor surgical procedure.
Step 4 – Once in position, you will just need to wait for the implants to fuse with your bone. This takes a few months, but once this bonding process has taken place, the implants will be ready to support your brand new teeth.
Step 5 – Patients who have worn dentures for some time and have experienced bone loss may need a bone grafting procedure before implant treatment – this can be carried out here at Hallcross Dental
