Patient Journey

What is involved in Implant Treatment at Hallcross?

Step 1: Free Consultation

At your first step on the journey to implant treatment at Hallcross, we invite you to attend a Free Consultation with one of our Implant Treatment Co-ordinators. This is your opportunity to find out more about us and our unique approach to dental care, to find out more about implants, and to ask us any questions or queries you may have. This is not a clinical appointment, although you will meet Dr Jay Patel who will assess if you are suitable for implants and give you a general idea of the cost for treatment. It follows the format of an informal, no obligation chat and is aimed at helping you to decide if you would like to start your journey to a new smile at Hallcross. Our treatment co-ordinator can discuss the range of finance and payment options we provide at Hallcross so that should you be interested, you can make payments in affordable monthly amounts.

Please note that finance is subject to status and terms and conditions apply – for more information about our finance options please click here.

Step 2: Clinical Assessment

If you are interested in proceeding with treatment, your next step would be to see our Implant Dentist Dr Jay Patel for a Clinical Assessment. During this appointment, Jay will discuss the technical aspects of treatment with you as well as take X-rays and a CT scan of your mouth so that checks can be made to ensure you are suitable for treatment (i.e. you have enough bone for implants to be placed in your jaw). A personalised Treatment Plan outlining proposed timeframes and costs will then be developed for you.

Step 3: Review of Treatment Plan and Finance Options

At the treatment plan appointment careful planning is carried out for the position of the implant, we also discuss what happens during the next stages of treatment. At this appointment there is an opportunity to discuss the type of restoration that can be used after the implant has been fitted. Our patients are fully involved in discussion and decisions about the appearance of the final teeth ensuring you leave with your perfect smile.

We also discuss the level of investment required for the treatment and offer various finance and payment plans to help spread the cost of treatments. For more information about our finance options please click here.

Step 4: Treatment carried out

Your Dental Implant treatment will then be carried out by our highly experienced Dental Implant Dentist – Dr Jay Patel. You will be kept informed about what is happening, and when, so that you always feel confident and comfortable in every stage of your treatment.

Step 5: Treatment aftercare and ongoing support

Once treatment has been completed, you will be provided with comprehensive after care information and instructions – as well as the direct telephone number (available 24/7) of our Dental Implant team should you have any urgent questions or queries about your recovery. We always keep a close eye on our valued patients at Hallcross so we will also arrange annual follow-up appointments with you to ensure that we can continue to provide you with ongoing support with your dental implants and oral health care. We will also arrange regular hygiene visits to ensure that you are able to clean and look after the implants so the supporting tissues around the implant are kept as healthy as possible.
